This isn't the first time we're discussing the whole Palm Pre from Verizon thing. And it's been a pretty bumpy ride. We've heard how Verizon doesn't want the Pre anymore and then we heard how everything was back on track and Big Red was definitely interested in the Pre. The only problem is that Sprint is the exclusive Pre carrier in the USA so far.
Today Verizon Wireless decided to admit to its Pre plans and the company has done so on Twitter. VZWOffers has announced on Twitter that the Palm Pre will be available early next year from Verizon Wireless. Sure we're not satisfied with a short tweet. There's no room for exact arrival dates and pricing details in such a message. But at least we know for sure that Verizon customers will also be able to get the CDMA Pre version without switching to Sprint.
On the other hand Verizon is getting ready to sell some very hot phones like the Storm 2 and the Moto Droid which means the Pre will no longer be as interesting as it used to be six months ago! Hopefully Palm will be ready to roll out a very hot device soon enough.
