LTE is the next standard in mobile communication. We're not entirely done with 3G and 4G is approaching fast. A bunch of carriers out there have already started to prepare for the LTE revolution and TeliaSonera is one of them. The Scandinavian carrier is getting ready to bring 4G speeds to Sweden and Norway and Samsung is going to help.
Samsung has announced that it will provide "mobile broadband devices for commercial service nest year." LTE is going to be available in 2010 in various markets including these two Scandinavian countries.
Samsung will be bringing the Kalmia 4G USB modem to Sweden and Norway but we have no info about actual release dates and pricing details. The device should be the world's first LTE device and it will bring 100Mbps speeds to a laptop near you in the following months. Other markets are also getting ready to embrace LTE soon so we expect Samsung to make the Kalmia available in other countries soon.
