Verizon seems to love Android phones although it hasn't launched any such handset yet. The carrier will start everything off with the Motorola Droid on October 28. On November 6 the HTC Droid Eris will follow and at some point later this year a certain Calgary will also be announced by Big Red.
Did you notice any resemblance between the Motorola Droid formerly known as the Sholes and the HTC Droid Eris formerly known as the Desire? It looks like Verizon is building a concept here. The Droid could be more than a phone in which case we should assume that the Calgary will also have its name change to "Droid something"
The Desire is supposed to offer you a 3.2-inch touchscreen LCD, a 5-megapixel camera, EV-DO Rev. A support, micro SD support and Android running in the background. So what will it be Android lovers? The Droid, the Droid Eris, the Calgary or something from the competition?
