Expansys are announcing HTC's latest UMTS device, code-named HTC Muse. There are not much info about the new Muse, but its know for sure that it will be strongly focused on media features and includes 4GB Flash Memory. It is expected to work on Windows Mobile 5.0 and according to Expansys it is expected to be released in July 2006. They do believes it will be a 3G device with HSDPA, the extension to UMTS 3G technology that improves data transfer speeds up to 1.8 Mbit but the devices should also support GSM/GPRS and EDGE as well as Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.

The Muse should have a square 240 x 240 65,536-colour display only as well as a 2.1 megapixel camera with Flash. There's a more basic, VGA camera on the front for video calls. To distinguish this unit from other Media focused units HTC have included a pair of integrated stereo speakers, a TV port, FM radio and 4GB of Flash memory for media storage.
