We knew it was going to be available starting with October 28
and now we have the official confirmation too. The BlackBerry Storm 2 has been officially unveiled by Verizon Wireless.
The phone will cost $179.99 after a $100 mail-in rebate if purchased with a new 2-year contract. The phone will be available this week although I have the feeling that Verizon Wireless customers will be more interested to see the new Motorola Droid Android smartphone.
The Storm 2 is definitely a better phone than its predecessor. The phone has brand new features like the SurePress feedback technology and BlackBerry OS 5.0. The phone will come with an included 16GB card alongside the 2GB built-in memory and other specs include a 3.25-inch touchscreen display, 3G connectivity, WiFi, a 3.2-megapixel camera with autofocus, flash, video recording, Bluetooth and GPS support.
What do you say folks? Storm 2 or Droid? You have two more days until you'll need to make up your mind!
