T-Mobile Voice and Data Service Is Down As we speak T-Mobile USA is having problems with its voice and data services and the outage is affecting customers nationwide. Calls are failing everywhere as users report busy tones and dropped calls. What's strange about it is that is that the signal bars are full so everything should work fine.

After T-Mobile's Sidekick experience, a new service outage is definitely most unwelcomed. T-Mobile seems to be working already on the matter and hopefully service will be restored soon:

We're making good progress restoring voice and messaging service to affected customers. At this time, approximately 5 percent of T-Mobile customers are experiencing service disruptions. Issues began at approximately 5:30 p.m. Eastern time. Our rapid response team is working continuously to fully resolve this disruption. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience that this has caused our customers.

In case you have a Google Voice account then you might go through with incoming and outgoing calls but in case you don't then you'll have to wait for everything to be solved by T-Mobile.
