Guess who is interested in mobile content? Does Associated Press sound plausible to you? Well the news agency is apparently going to work together with Verve Wireless in order to offer support to any mobile app developer out there.
The two companies are particularly interested in publishers that are going to create apps but don't exactly have the necessary resources to do it. So what does the developer have to pay in order to take advantage of Associated Press' and Verve Wireless' support? It looks like the two companies will take a percentage of whatever you earn from advertising.
Publishers will be able to push their content alongside AP's content through the AP Mobile platform to any apps made for various phones. Publishers will be able to manage themselves the content, advertising, marketing and sales function for any mobile application. Speaking about mobile applications, you will be able to create anything you like as various platforms are supported: Android, BlackBerry, iPhone, Nokia, webOS and Windows Mobile.
