Verizon Officially Responds to AT&T Allegations In case you were not aware of it, AT&T has sued Verizon because of its recent There's a Map for That Ad campaign. In those ads Verizon is making fun of AT&T's 3G coverage while boasting its own 3G network.

Naturally AT&T has filed a false advertising lawsuit and Verizon had to issue an official responds. And here's what Verizon's lawyers were able to come up with:

AT&T did not file this lawsuit because Verizon's "There's A Map For That" advertisements are untrue; AT&T sued because Verizon's ads are true and the truth hurts.

That's hardly a legal argument is it? Truth might hurt when it comes to 3G coverage but that doesn't mean AT&T will sit and just take hit after hit from Verizon. And Big Red currently has not one but four commercials in which it compares 3G coverage maps.
