Verizon to Sell the Motorola Devour Verizon is getting ready to sell a new Motorola handset. The handset in question is the Devour and it looks like this new Android baby is getting ready to become official. Apparently Verizon has already sent promo materials to retailers and, more importantly, the official Motorola site has gone live.

The Devour also known as the Calgary by some is going to be Verizon's latest Android handset. Motorola is apparently getting more and more used to launching such phones and we expect to see even more similar handset in 2010.

The phone is pretty similar to the Droid but that doesn't mean it comes without a personality. The phone will come with a trackpad instead of the D-pad found on the Droid and it will sport a 1420mAh battery, WiFi connectivity and GPS. We'll be looking for more details from Verizon once the company decides to go official with the Devour. In the mean time hold off buying a new Droid until you figure out if the Droid is a better fit for you or not.
