iPhone OS 3.1.3 Available for Download It has been a while since we've last seen an iPhone OS update. Apple is probably working on the development of the upcoming iPhone OS 4.0 which could arrive this summer once the new next-gen iPhone gets released.

In the mean time Cupertino has released a brand new firmware update, version 3.1.3 which is now available for download. The new iPhone OS version will fit with all existing iPhones and iPod touches and will basically offer you some bug fixes and improvements. Here's basically what you can expect from iPhone OS 3.1.3:

- improves accuracy of reported battery level on iPhone 3GS
- resolves issue where third-party apps would not launch in some instances
- fixes bug that may cause an app to crash when using the Japanese Kana keyboard.

Like always, in case that you're currently using a jailbroken and/or unlocked phone, make sure that you don't upgrade immediately because iPhone OS 3.1.3 will surely bust blackra1n and/or redsn0w.
