While the complete details are still not finalised, it seems that i-mate is planning to release its sensation ultra-thin Windows Mobile Smartphone down under. i-mate Smartflip smartphone is supposedly to be RAZR-thin HTC Star Trek version, which we saw last year.

i-mate Smartflip should be available in Australia and New Zealand
This new device was spotted for the first time during the 3GSM Congress in Barcelona, Spain. It should be available in Australia and New Zealand by April or May 2006.

The new i-mate device lacks WiFi functionality but its not what it's made for. When we look at the design of the device, we think that the device is intended for a wider market then just early adapters.
