T-Mobile Dumps Yahoo Search in Favor of Google This particular deal between two important players in the U.S. mobile world should not affect you that much but it's still worth mentioning. T-Mobile USA has decided not to continue its mobile search partnership with Yahoo and therefore it will be replacing it with Google.

That move does make sense since T-Mobile is already working with Google on its Android phones so why not tighten that bond even further. Naturally that doesn't mean you can't use Yahoo instead of Google since nobody can force you to actually use the default search engine on your smartphone. T-Mobile USA is still going to work with Yahoo for Yahoo Mail, News, Finance, Yahoo Messenger and Flickr.

Unlike T-Mobile USA, the fourth largest operator in the USA, its European sibling has not moved on to Google from Yahoo and it doesn't seem that will happen anytime soon. But what about you? What search engine do you prefer to use while mobile?
