Nokia to Reorganize Smartphone and Cell Phone Business Just a short while ago we learned that angry Nokia investors might want to replace Nokia's CEO Olli-Pekka Kallasvuo. That hasn't happened yet but Nokia did announce that it plans to completely reorganize its smartphone and cell phone teams and we're not that surprised that the Finnish giant has decided to do so.

After all Nokia is not doing so good when it comes to its smartphone business so maybe such a change is more than welcomed. Starting July 1st, Nokia will have two separate hardware divisions and a marketing division. While we don't care that much about marketing right now, we will focus on the smartphone and cell phone divisions mentioned above.

The Mobile Solution division will deal with high-end mobile computer and smartphones including MeeGo and future Symbian^3, and beyond, devices. The Mobile Phones division will focus on Symbian S40 cell phones and it's safe to say it will do great in the future as it did so far.

We will be interested to see how the Mobile Solution will cope with the current smartphone environment and whether or not it will be able to launch some hot Nokia smartphones soon capable to fight against the iPhone and the Android handsets out there. Any thoughts on this internal Nokia reorganization?
