Rumour: Inventec To Develop 6-7 Million webOS Tablets In 2011 The PalmPad has been a rumoured competitor for quite some time now, and when HP acquired Palm for 1.2 billion, we all expected a big release of webOS devices at once. Though it did not really turn out that way, in fact, all we have confirmed is the Pre 2, rumours are constantly slipping out about future devices running the underrated operating system, webOS. Some of you may know the company Inventec as the manufacturer of the new Nook Colour, by Barnes And Noble. This is a large number of tablets to order, something that will strongly rival iPad manufacturing numbers itself. I believe that HP acquiring Palm was a great move, as I know from several people I have asked about my Pre, they think Palm is a dead company that made some great handhelds back in the day. I then explain to them how webOS is very smooth and the company is very much so alive, but the image of Palm in their head is still negative. With HP acquiring them, it puts a more positive image in peoples head as a well-known and respected computer and laptop manufacturer, which could increase sales dramatically.
