Terrestrial numerical television for mobilephones
Japan announces the opening of its network "One Seg" of terrestrial numerical television mobile ISDB-T.What about the TNT While Europe tests DVB-H. In spite of launching as of 2001 of first networks 3G/UMTS by NTT DoCoMo, Japan also decided to launch out in terrestrial numerical television for mobile telephones.While Korea adopted technology T-DMB and that Europe board on the DVB-H, Japan developed on its side its own technology, baptized ISDB-T, derived as in Korea from its network from numerical radio. Supported by the powerful public group of television NHK, the service, baptized "One Seg", takes again for the moment the chains diffused on the Japanese TNT but also proposes, on a part of the screen, the interactive textual information provided by the cellular operators.
