Nival Interactive just released the demo-version of the game ALLODS II NECROMANCER for the Pocket PC (remake of Rage of Mages: Necromancer). You will be able to explore the fantastic world of Allods and complete 3 levels of the game.

Allods II: Necromancer Key Features :

Free travelling between settlements and missions. The character may easily move from one settlement to another buying various ammunition, weapon and artifacts. Additional characters may be recruited in different settlements; they are able to simplify some missions' passing. You can also obtain new missions by talking with different characters in taverns.

A wide variety of weapons, armours, and magic spells. Various weapons and armours reinforce attack, defence and other skills. By choosing different options you may reinforce or weaken some characteristics of the hero. Purchase of special books allows you to learn different magic spells.

Ability to recruit additional characters for help. Your hero is allowed to hire different additional characters that can simplify passing of certain missions. These can be completely different inhabitants of Allods, infantrymen, cavalry, wizards, orks-archers, trolls, druids, etc.

A team of three heroes with unique magic and fighting characteristics. In addition to the main hero, chosen at the beginning of the game, two additional characters may join him later: Soldier and Magician. During the game each hero develops those skills, which he/she uses mostly.

Two Types of Characters are available. Any player can select his own character from two types: Soldier and Magician. Each type features its unique skills. Soldier is quick and strong, he is well-versed in different kinds of weapons and mostly fights in close battles. Magician is a major magic character, who knows a lot of magic spells, but too vulnerable in the close fight.

Choice of the game strategy. The player may choose game strategy by selecting evolution lines of his/her characters. For instance, a Soldier can become a skilled sworder and an experienced archer, and Magician is able to develop various fighting spells or treatment skills as well as cast some spells with various bonuses on Soldier. Thus, the player can choose the game strategy: whether to train two independent fighting characters or create a powerful fighting team, especially strong due to the mutual help.

Ability to change weapons during the battle. During the battle the player is able to reequip his characters: choose artifacts that protect your hero from magic or physical injuries or choose weapons, which causes both magical and physical damage to your enemy. Due to well-performed interface, adjusted to Pocket PC, the Soldier, for example, is able to easily exchange axe to bow and begin to hit air targets.

5 schools of magic, a variety of spells. Playing as Magician you may develop your spells for 5 Elements: Fire, Water, Earth, Air and Astral. Combining various spells, Magician is able to become the most powerful and developed character. And the interface adjusted to Pocket PC allows you to break out a real magic storm on your enemies in few seconds.

3D ground: speed of movements depends on the landscape peculiarities. It makes the game even more interesting in terms of tactics and strategy. For instance, having captured the hill you are able to annihilate your enemies easily, while they are climbing it slowly, or by taking position in the middle of the desert your heroes have enough time to shoot down all monsters stuck in the sand.

High speed of battle strategy implementation. This version, adjusted to Pocket PC, has much more advantages in comparison with its PC analogue, since new interface of the game allows you to access menu immediately. Also it enables you to cast your enemies with hundreds of spells and rearm your warriors depending on the situation.
