Are you ready for the next Palm? According to this picture they have already finished the Treo 800w prototype. According to unconfirmed rumors its expected to run Windows Mobile 6.1. Inside well have a 400Mhz processor accompanied by 128MB of RAM and 256 MB of flash memory. In order to keep up with the latest smartphone releases like the HTC Touch Diamond, the BlackBerry Bold or the undisclosed yet 3G iPhone, the guys at Palm were forced I guess, to finally come up with 3G and WiFi support

Looking at the picture I cant help but wonder if that would actually be useful to me. What I mean is that I am so used to a QWERTY keyboard that Id have a hard time adjusting to any other kind. However it seems a cool idea and it might be just the next thing for certain mobile applications. Imagine switching back and forth from portrait to landscape. Wouldnt a vertical keyboard suit your needs? Sure it might slow you down at first but once you get used to it, it will be just another clever idea.

GooSync with Google is in beta test apparently. Unfortunately its a closed beta so well have to wait and see the results. What GooSync does is simple. It syncs your Google contacts with your phones contacts.
The beta will run for about a month and well see what the conclusions are. GooSync was the first online service to offer synchronization for your phone with Google Calendar. This doesnt seem that simple to achieve with Gmail too, although youd assume Google thought of everything when they developed this simple mailing platform. Googles Gmail has a contacts system that gathers all the information on all your contacts whether you input it manually or not.

Microsoft launched today new features to Live Search for all those devices running on Windows Mobile 6 and 6.1.
With Live Search you can google, if you mind my joke, anything you could be interested in while on the move. Search for maps, driving directions, events, people, you name it. If you are a good English speaker, you can simply state what you are looking for instead of typing it. If you are still interested in weather, you can get that searched too, but this new version of Live Search also goes deeper intop user generated PC contente and web search

We keep talking about Windows Mobile and Symbian, about Android or Mac OS, so imagine my not-quite-so-big surprise when I heard Verizon Wireless is thinking outside the box. They are thinking about changing their preferred OS. They have just joined Limo Foundation which, and I quote, is an industry consortium dedicated to creating the first truly open, hardware-independent, Linux-based operating system for mobile devices end quote.

How big is your wallet? I am not asking if you keep a lot of cash or if you have a $100,000+/year salary? I am referring to anything else thats in there and youd like to remove but cant. All those coupons and memberships, discounts and incredible saves, all those pieces of paper or plastic with your name on them and a barcode to be scanned with every purchase or attendance.
