Windows Phone 7 Marketplace Will Be Able to Revoke App Licenses

We've heard a great deal of news about Windows Phone 7 at this year's Microsoft MIX conference but we have even more stuff to add for you.

Now it looks like Microsoft will let the Marketplace, the only place that will get you official Windows Phone 7 apps, to remotely revoke app licenses. That means that basically any app you purchase can be deleted if anything should occur to disturb the peace in the Windows Phone 7 universe.

Google Prepares Cloud-Computing Based Apps Marketplace

Google has decided we need a new app store version and it has launched one. The Apps Marketplace is the new name in town and it is supposed to be a cloud-computing based app store which will integrate all Google Apps and not only.

Right now there are 50 apps available in the Apps Marketplace and more will follow. Google will charge $100 to third-party developers before they can submit apps and once they pay the fee they'll be able to offer us all sorts of cloud-based apps.

I didn't think there will come a day in which we will see Apple censor certain words from app descriptions but that day has arrived. Apple has decided not to allow the word "Android" in any iTunes applications which is pretty strange. Will a word remind people of Google's mobile platform and convince them to immediately ditch their iPhones in favor of Android handsets?

TuneWiki, Boopsie win top prizes in AT&T app development contestAT&T has announced that TuneWiki, a social media player app, won the top prize in the company's Fast-Pitch Platinum Awards contest, while Boopsie, a mobile search app, won the grand prize in the enterprise app development contest.
