The Nokia E72, the successor of the Nokia E71 , has arrived in the USA. The phone is ready to ship in the U.S. and it's going to be available for $469 without a contract.

The phone comes with quadband GSM and triband WCDMA support, full QWERTY keyboard, Bluetooth 2.0+EDR, WiFi b/g, a 5-megapixel camera with autofocus and LED flash, Flash Lite 3.0 compatible browser, GPS and digital compass. Support for Nokia Maps 3.0 is also included but it will cost you $99.95 per year in case you want to access it.

The Nokia E72 is a slightly better version of the Nokia E71 . And we certainly can appreciate the E71 as one of the best phones Nokia has launched in the last couple of years. Not only does it look good but it can also be a very dependable handset. Naturally the E72 will be at least as good as the E71.

The phone will be available in the UK from Vodafone exclusively this year and you'll be able to grab it for free on new 2-year contracts of at least £30 per month.

After leaking the E72 over the weekend, Nokia decided it was time to officially announce it. The event took place in Singapore and we can already say that the E72 is a great follower of the E71.
