Palm webOS PDK beta Now Public

Palm webOS fans will be happy to find out that Palm has decided to make available to the public the webOS PDK beta. That means that developers can create even better apps now and more importantly we expect a lot of game titles to arrive to the Pre and Pixi.

PDK means Plug-in Development Kit and comes to complement the already available webOS SDK. Developers will be able to use C and C++ now when programming apps for Palm Pre and Pixi smartphones and they will be able to create 3D games for these specific mobile phones.

For some weird reason Apple has decided to finally allow VoIP calls over 3G. And since the new iPhone SDK is out we can expect more and more VoIP apps to offer you 3G calls on Skype.

Fring for iPhone is such an application that will have you talking to your Skype friends in an instant even when you're using the 3G available connectivity. The only problem is, of course, AT&T's network. In some metropolitan areas you might not enjoy your VoIP experience over 3G, but at least the feature is available now.

SDK for Windows Mobile 6.5 available now

Microsoft has recently released the Software Development Kit for its Windows Mobile 6.5 Operating system. This will allow Independent Software vendors to develop exciting applications and games for Windows Mobile 6.5 Smartphones. It contains documentation, sample code, header and library files, emulator images and tools that can be used with Visual Studio to build applications for Windows Mobile 6.5 devices.
