Acer has a brand new Android phone for us at the MWC. The Acer Liquid e is the handset that has been just unveiled in Spain and if you're looking for a new affordable Android smartphone then maybe the Liquid e is the thing you need.

The Liquid e is the successor of the Liquid, also a former Android phone made by Acer. The Liquid e will offer you a 768MHz Qualcomm 8250 processor, 256MB of RAM and 512MB of flash storage. Other features include a 3.5-inch touchscreen display, GPS, Bluetooth , WiFi and EDGE connectivity but no 3G, at least not so far.

Windows Mobile 6.5 is coming soon and the first phones ready to run the new OS are the HTC Touch Pro2 and the HTC Touch Diamond2. And these two phones will be upgraded from Windows Mobile 6.1 to 6.5 easily. That has been official for quite a while now. What about other hot phones out there? Some reports are saying that a few Toshiba, LG and Acer phones will also be upgradeable to Windows Mobile 6.5, but is that really going to happen?
