Samsung Galaxy Tab Is Up For An Update Soon

Samsung Galaxy Tab Is Up For An Update Soon

With the new Samsung Galaxy Tab running on Honeycomb soon to take its place among the invading Android tablets, you might think the first Galaxy Tab would be a dead duck, not so.

The update plans a host of fixes and new features that will enhance your Galaxy Tab even though you are most likely looking into getting a Tablet with Honeycomb. Dell Streak Gets Android Froyo This Week On O2 UK

Dell Streak Gets Android Froyo This Week On O2 UK

The Dell Streak, which launched this year as Dells first Android MID, is set for getting the Android 2.2 update this week, but it will only be available on the O2 network in the UK. The 5-inch display tablet, which launched surprisingly with Android 1.6, has found it very hard to get a solid position in the market, it would have done really well if Dell had any foresight.

Over the Air roll-out is set to begin this week, but be enduring, OTAs are not sent out to every subscriber who owns a Dell Streak on the same day, though, I don't see why, since not many of these were sold so it should be an easy procedure without any hiccups, unless Dell released a bug infested update.

Opera Mobile 10.1 Beta For Android Is Good To Go

Opera has done it again, Android users who were waiting on a browser to rival that of the stock Google browser, can now rest easy, Opera Mobile 10.1 is here in beta appearance. If you were living under a rock, Opera Mobile is basically Opera Web slimmed down a little bit to fit on a mobile phone, it gives you true web browsing experience when compared to Opera Mini.

Opera Mobile 10.1 Beta for Android is now available in the Android Market or at m.opera.com/next. When you get your sweaty palms on this, just remember you are using Beta software so there will be bugs that might frustrate you for a time. Opera would definitely make my day if they add Flash 10.1 and HTML5 support in the coming months, this move would cement Opera Mobile as a true replacement over the stock Android browser.

Some good news here for Apple iPhone and iPod Touch owners out there who needs Flash video playback very badly, it is now possible with the addition of Skyfire Web Browser to the App Store, and guess what? Apple won't be removing this so you all are in luck.

Skyfire for iOS 4 is not really pushing Flash videos 100%, it actually does it from their servers but in a way that pushes the video through HTML5, so you would be basically be getting Flash video converted to HTML5 video which is a new trick, a very welcoming new trick if you ask us.
