Garmin-Asus have a new phone for you. The M10 is going to be a Windows Mobile 6.5.3 phone that's going to offer you plenty of GPS features thanks to Garmin's PND software that's already on the device.

The M10 will feature a 3.5-inch WVGA touchscreen, a 5-megapixel camera, HSDPA support, WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity, a 600MHz processor from Qualcomm, 512MB of RAM and ROM, a 3.5mm headphone and a microSD card slot.

We told you that Nokia was up to something and it looks like we were right! Although it still remains to be seen what the Finnish company will announce at the special event scheduled for London next week, we already know that a new Ovi Maps version is coming to Nokia smartphones and it will bring free turn-by-turn navigation to any GPS-enabled handset.

The move is not that surprising considering that Google has pretty much done the same thing for its Android customers in the USA. But Nokia will offer free navigation to all the smartphones it sells. Nokia's turn-by-turn navigation will be available initially in 74 countries which is quite impressive in comparison to Google.

Here comes The First Augmented reality app for windows phone. It is called OMPASS World Cities and is developed by HyongaSoft. They have managed to get the app display the directions of different cities, along with information regarding their respective countries and distances. The Pro version will have a "city life" feature, which can display theater, shopping, road, subway and other local information.

I just messed with a program called Nav Launcher for Android phone and it get to have working Google Maps Navigation on my HTC Magic. Note that I am currently in Bulgaria and official Navigation is not available here (Only in United States). After installing it i can only say it works like charm with navigating to contacts, or a typed/spoken destination. The only thing you need is installed the modified Maps with Navigation for use outside the USA.

After Google's move into the navigation market with the release of Google Maps Navigation, the buzz over there is quite tremendous. Their product is very cool indeed but I want to present you another app for Android phones called AugSatNav, which handles navigation task with ease and is based on the concept of augmented reality.
