Mobile developers out there should better pay attention to Vodafone's latest initiative, the App Star Competition, which might bring them a healthy prize of up to 100,000 Euros. The carrier wants new widgets for its brand new Samsung LiMo phones, the H1 and the M1.

MWC 2009 might have been a disaster for Android where the devices showcasing is concerned, but Samsung still has high hopes for future Android handsets.
Since we're talking about competition today, we can't overlook LiMo. The LiMo Foundation announced today 7 new handsets to join their fleet. No matter how smart these are, this is a bold move. It surely shows that LiMo wants in the mobile business and it's serious about getting its share.
