Nokia and Intel have decided to continue their work together by launching a new mobile platform. MeeGo is a merger so to speak between Intel's Moblin and Nokia's Maemo Linux platforms. Just as expected the joint Intel and Nokia announcement came at MWC this year and we're already interested to see what MeeGo will bring us.

MeeGo is supposed to power smartphones, MIDs, netbooks and other mobile devices. No product has been made public so far but we're told that the best of two worlds, Moblin and Maemo, will be mixed and ultimately it is us, the customers who should benefit from Intel's and Nokia's new creations.

Creative has created its own smartphone, the Trinity. Responsible for it is Creative's ZiiLabs division which has developed Creative's StemCell technology and turned it into a viable mobile platform.

Unfortunately for us the Trinity will not be available in stores anytime soon. In order to get it you'll have to order the Zii Development Kit "3G Phone Edition" from Creative which doesn't sound like such a good alternative.

The phone in the picture here looks very interesting. Called the Else Intuition the phone has been developed by Access and it runs Access' Linux Platform v3.0 OS.

Not much has been heard about LiMo, their Linux Mobile OS, and all the phones coming out featuring said OS, basically Google Android and everything else has overshadowed LiMo to a point of no real return in my honest opinion.

One thing that is lacking from the Palm Pre is an on-screen keyboard, while I am no huge fans of virtual keyboards, they do come in handy when you just cannot find the time to slide out that physical keyboard just for some basic texting or whatever. Here's a video showcasing the Palm Pre with virtual keyboard, everything is a bit buggy as this thing is not from Palm themselves, hopefully it will get better.

So Nokia has officially announced the N900 Internet Tablet which will be out this year, everything looks solid apart from the screen being resistive, that means touching won't be as smooth as for example the iPhone 3GS. Nokia's N900 will be on sale this October 2009 for 500 Euro, unless a network picks up this thing it will likely crash and burn, check out the videos after the break please.
