Google Nexus One Coming To Sprint

Google Nexus One Coming To Sprint

Here's some news for everyone, the Google Nexus One is making its way to Sprint later in the year, not only that but Verizon is poised to be making a similar announcement so everyone has always been perving at Google sex-machine, this is time to pick one up on the cheap along with a 2 or 3yr contract of course.

No here's the thing, you'll still be required to buy the phone from Google themselves, the Nexus One will not be sold in stores just strictly online, I guess we now know why after 74 days Google only sold 135,000 of these bad boys, or it could be because the phone was never available for the likes of Sprint and Verizon which are larger networks compared to T-Mobile.

Google Sold 135,000 Nexus Ones In 1st 74 Days

Google Sold 135,000 Nexus Ones In 1st 74 Days

Not really surprising here, Google only sold 135,000 Nexus Ones in the first 74 days since the handset went on sale, but don't jump to conclusions now and talk about how much the handset has flopped, far from it. The research done by Mobile search firm Flurry, has shown how pathetic the Google Nexus One sales were in its first 74 days compared to the iPhone and Motorola DROID. The DROID surprisingly came out on top with 1.5 million sales, Apple iPhone played second with 1 million and Google's little baby at the meager number of 135,000.

Now, lets see why the Google Nexus One appears to be a complete flop, first off, the DROID was pushed with a $100 million marketing campaign by Verizon, the Apple iPhone had the Apple branding behind it and at the time, it was the hottest thing on the market, the one phone that changed the whole industry to what it is today. Google's little toy? Really good phone but it didn't get the marketing push it deserves, the phone is only available online at Google's Store and launched out on T-Mobile which is one of the smaller networks in the U.S. Then we have to take into consideration one more thing, how many consumers out there would actually buy a phone without testing it out? One cannot do that with the Nexus One unless you're lucky.

Google Nexus One Hitting Verizon With Sense UI

Google Nexus One Hitting Verizon With Sense UI

I for one hate all the different User Interfaces available out there for Android, I believe users should have a choice to choose whether or not they want to use anything different from the default Android UI. If I buy an HTC Hero, it should have an option at start up that asks me if I want to use the Sense UI or not, if I choose to use the Sense UI then the option must be there for me to remove it, plain and damn simple. This is why I am leaning towards Windows Phone Series 7 here, no matter, the UI will be the same on all devices as it should be.

Ok, so rumors are popping up like popcorns around the interwebs regarding the Google Nexus One, and HTC Sense UI, apparently Verizon will be stocking the device but their version will differentiate itself by incorporating the Sense UI, right away we have two different versions of the same phone, someone who owns the original would most likely need to learn the UI all over again if they choose to jump on the Verizon ship. One should be able to jump from any number of Android based handsets and get right in without tinkering with the different UIs, this is BS and Google need to take some of the power from manufactures like Microsoft did.

Verizon Rumored to be Training Employees for Nexus One

Verizon Rumored to be Training Employees for Nexus One

Verizon is going to get a CDMA version of the Google Nexus One in the following months. We have no release dates at this time but we do know that the CDMA Nexus One has passed the FCC and Big Red should get it soon.

We do have rumors saying that Verizon has already started to train employees on the Google Nexus One so that must only mean the device is coming to the carrier.

HTC Says Nexus One Is Not to be Kept in Pockets

HTC Says Nexus One Is Not to be Kept in Pockets

The problem with large smartphones which we happen to love and cherish is that they can sometimes be too big for our pockets. But usually we find a way to place them neatly inside our pockets and carry them without damaging them. Usually! Although sometimes it happens that smartphones go through rough times like the Google Nexus One in the picture.

What caused the screen to brake was apparently carrying it in a pocket and then sitting down all of a sudden. Although the owners of the phone do say that the screen cracked like that while charging on a desk. That's a pretty weird claim but we were not there to actually see it crack so we'll move forward with the story without establishing who is right.

Google Nexus Two to Target BlackBerry Smartphones Fans?

Google Nexus Two to Target BlackBerry Smartphones Fans?

The Google Nexus One has been released in January and although it definitely represents Google's Android vision with very much fidelity it hasn't become a best seller phone. The device has been plagued by 3G issues and Google which slowed down sales at the beginning and by the time everything was fixed other hot Android phones have appeared.

It's only logical, and it's not the first time we hear about it, that Google is preparing for its next handset, the Google Nexus Two which is rumored to be a slider touchscreen phone ready to compete against BlackBerry phones.

HTC Desire ROM Flashed To Nexus One Along With Sense UI

HTC Desire ROM Flashed To Nexus One Along With Sense UI
You know what I hate about the mobile phone industry? Whenever a good phone goes on the sale, it doesn't take too long for something better to get announced, so the folks who bought into the first good phone gets royally ripped off when something better gets released a month or two later, worse if it is from the same company. This is how i feel with the Nexus One and HTC Desire, though I don't own a Nexus One, I still find this kind of business practices by manufactures pretty messed up.

Anyway, ranting aside, let's get down to what really matters here before I go on and on into a barbarous rage. The HTC Desire is the next kick ass handset to come from HTC after the Google Nexus One, the Desire is basically a Nexus One reloaded with the Sense UI and 720p HD video recording, the Desire is not even on sale at the moment, yet the ROM is available, customized and ready to take up refuge on your Nexus One.

Google Nexus One Coming to Vodafone UK in April

Google's first Android phone, the Nexus One, might not have been the greatest handset of all when it comes to sales, but it's definitely a more than interesting device. And the smartphone seems ready to be officially sold by European carriers too.

One of them is Vodafone UK which is expected to offer the smartphone at some point in April. We don't have clear dates and pricing details but the phone has been confirmed for Vodafone UK.

Sony Ericsson Says It Refused to Build the Google Nexus One

Sony Ericsson Says It Refused to Build the Google Nexus One

A shocking and unexpected statement was made at MWC 2010. Sony Ericsson's CEO admitted that the company was given the opportunity of building the Google Nexus One for Google. Sony Ericsson refused as the company does not want to build other hardware than its own and that explains the refusal.

Looking back at the whole deal one could conclude that Sony Ericsson made the right choice not to invest time and resources in the development of the Nexus One. We all know that the phone had lots of 3G issues from the day it was launched and thus it failed to become the hit phone Mountain View officials wanted it to be.
