LTE (Long Term Evolution) or 4G technology is the next generation mobile technology that promises high speed mobile internet with speeds up to 100Mbps. We have news that NTT DoCoMo of Japan will be showcasing an LTE based phone at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona later this month. NTT DoCoMo will use the prototype phone to transfer High Definition video across an LTE network. NTT DoCoMo is partnering with NEC, Fujitsu and Panasonic to bring LTE technology to the market and it is planning to invest 3.3 and 4.4 billion dollars on LTE networks over the next five years. Japan's biggest telco NTT DoCoMo and electronics maker Fujitsu has announced a special handset for the Taiwanese market which allows users to view and input the traditional Chinese characters and enabling them to access FET's i-mode mobile Internet service in their local language.
