This isn't the first time we're discussing the whole Palm Pre from Verizon thing. And it's been a pretty bumpy ride. We've heard how Verizon doesn't want the Pre anymore and then we heard how everything was back on track and Big Red was definitely interested in the Pre. The only problem is that Sprint is the exclusive Pre carrier in the USA so far.

GSM Palm Pre is all the rage right now, everyone who ditched the Pre because it went CDMA first are now jumping for joy, but the Germans having lots more fun because they will be first to own one, sad stuff indeed.
People with nothing to do always find time to do stupid things, stupid things that are quite entertaining to some, and not so much to others, personally i love this, such drunk idiots, they know not what sins they have just committed.The GSM Palm Pre, everyone and their mother must be foaming at the mouth for one, after all, the majority of mobile phone users are on GSM networks, CDMA only has power in the United States.
In about a week or so, Palm's only webOS phone so far, the Pre, will officially head to Spain and Telefonica's Movistar will be the carrier to launch it. The Pre has been announced in various other European countries so far and it's likely that Palm wants to sell as many of those babies as possible overseas.

O2 Germany is confirming the rumors of adding Palm Pre to it portfolio and is about to make Palm fans in Europe happy. Today they announced the release of the webOS-based Palm Pre and it will be October 13th.Interesting rumor here, it appears O2 Germany could become the first service provider to offer the GSM version of the Palm Pre, many folks wouldn't mind that.
