AT&T has decided to allow the SlingPlayer for the iPhone but it has also set some limits in place for it. Apparently the application "would use large amounts of wireless network capacity" which "could create congestion and potentially prevent other customers from using the network". On top of that, AT&T said that "applications like this, which redirects a TV signal to a personal computer, are specifically prohibited under our terms of service." That's why SlingPlayer for iPhone will be used over WiFi only.
