Qualcomm Announces 1.3 GHz Snapdragon Processor

Toshiba's TG01 will be the first Windows Mobile phone to sport a 1.0GHz processor from Qualcomm. In fact it will be the first phone ever to use such a powerful processor. But despite the fact the TG01 isn't exactly available so far, Qualcomm has already announced a new processor, a 1.3GHz new Snapdragon.

Smartphones to Receive System-on-a-Chip from Intel?

Medfield is a codename for a processor currently being developed by Intel. The system-on-a-chip is supposed to be a low-power version of Intel's new Moorestown processor. The Moorestown is actually a 2-chip system conceived for usage in low-power UMPCs.

HTC to Launch 1GHz Processor Phones

Toshiba's TG01 amazed everyone with that Qualcomm SnapDragon 1GHz processor and HTC is ready to get in on that action too. HTC's faster smartphones are said to be scheduled for release in the second quarter of the year.
