
Skype announced today that it's basically interested in extending its VoIP range of offers and in order to do that it will purchase Qik. Without being confirmed, the deal is said to be worth $100 million but we'll definitely wait for Skype to make it public.
In case Qik seems familiar that's because the service became quite popular on various Android devices as a communication alternative and, specifically, as a video chatting solution for those Android handsets that come with front-facing cameras, like the HTC EVO 4G for example.
