Teksoft FingerTouch Pro is one of the coolest and maybe most useful keyboards released for windows mobile platform. It is a replacement for the default WM5 or WM6 keyboard you have preinstalled. Teksoft just sent me the registration key and the first thing I need to do is to register the program, I need to go to start/settings/input, select Fingertouch Pro from the dropdown menu and select options/register and input my registration code. Now its a full-featured program and it is ready for testing.
From the Fingertouch options menu you may set up the program with various options. They include customization of your theme (Fonts, Size, Skins and Color of the text), the layout (it can be used for resizing you keyboard or drag&drop keys wherever you want). You have also options to use the magnifier for easier text input, the fT9, a replacement of T9 text inputing method with own dicionary, or control the keyboard with gestures. Next in the options menu is Ultra Kb. It gives you the option to set up a predefind action and trigger for it, with which you can dial numbers, execute files, rotate screen, etc in just a moment. The last options are about the keyboard speed and the default input keyboard and language for it.

Simplicity in design is definitely NOT what the HTC Touch Diamond is all about. The very small compact unit fits comfortably in the users hand, but the backside design looks more like a piece of artwork than a Pocket PC backside. But if the art didn't match the devices capabilities it would all be for nothing, and luckily HTC managed to pack in an impressive array of features that help add to the devices allure and overall usability.

Navigation software these days is one of the very much used ones when it comes to Windows Mobile devices. That's why I am sharing with you this nice review of Garmin Mobile XT for Windows Mobile made by Gears from CoolSmartphone.com.
Garmin Mobile XT is a good bit of kit, don't get me wrong. The range of options and the navigation details are great. Little tweaks like the track logs, auto dimming screen and the ability to quickly find petrol stations, hotels and cash machines in your local area are all fab. However, I was a little disappointed with some of the default settings of the program - that auto-zoom does my head in and I couldn't seem to shake off the GPS lag at times. It could that I need to adjust the baud rate on my settings, but this program sets the GPS up automatically when it can, so I'm hoping it didn't get things wrong. There's also those few niggles with the country selection but, for just over £50 with free traffic updates, you've got to work this all into the equation.

Found in: Reviews, Devices, HTC, Pocket PC,

HTC has recently released the HTC Touch Cruise, which has more memory, fast processor, WiFi, 3.5G (HSDPA and video calling included) and even built-in GPS. And today its first review is online thanks to the Gears from coolsmartphone site.
I took this device on a day out. We decided to go to the local safari park and, I'll be honest, I had no way of knowing how to get there. I turned on the Tom Cruise (now that sounds weird) and punched in the postcode. It located me, directed me all the way and I received some emails during the journey. The combination of the wheel plus the HTC TouchFLO system makes one-handed or even one-finger operation so simple and easy - it really is the wheel reinvented. An email pops up, I click the action button, scroll the wheel around to select a mail from the list, click again and then I use the TouchFLO system to quickly hop into Internet Explorer to see what time the safari park is open until. Even better, when I get there I can take fairly brilliant photos with the 3 megapixel camera and then I can make a video call to a member of my family and say, "Look at this elephant! Woow!"
The device we tested is network free, so you can pick whatever SIM card or network you fancy and get going without any problems. Yes, obviously there's no keyboard, but there is WiFi, 3G, quad-band connectivity, video calling, GPS, microSD storage and you get a smooth experience thanks to the 400Mhz CPU. This isn't just a navigation tool, this is a capable, well designed and well thought-out device which takes the success of the HTC Artemis to the next level.
