"The Samsung SCH-i730 manages a pretty impressive feat: It shrinks a Windows Mobile-based smart phone into a form factor that actually fits comfortably in your pants pocket and includes broadband wireless, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, a built-in keyboard, and a speedy processor. Despite some irritating quirks in its wireless support, the Samsung i730 stays in the running for the "Treo killer" title.The most interesting thing about this is it isn't the Treo 650. I've seen a few of these around town, more than any other brand of Windows Mobile Pocket PC Phone with the possible exception of the various makes based on the HTC device used for the PDA2K/Audiovox 6600. If it weren't for the fact that turning on WiFi basically turns off the phone, this would be an almost perfect device."

The good:
Five-way wireless support (IrDA, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, CDMA 1xRTT, and EV-DO); speakerphone; comfortable slide-out QWERTY thumb keyboard; two batteries included; excellent third-party software support.

The bad:
No support for modem use with a laptop; Wi-Fi and phone can't work simultaneously; Wi-Fi is a battery hog; no camera in initial Verizon release.

What's it for:
Accessing PIM data on the go; staying connected to corporate and personal e-mail on the go; Web surfing at high speeds; making calls; listening to or watching multimedia content.

Who's it for:
Business users who want a Treo-style smart phone with Wi-Fi and Windows Mobile.

Business use:
Accessing corporate e-mail and PIM data on the go.

Essential extras:
Wireless Bluetooth headset; car charger; SD memory card.

The bottom line:
Small, light, and powerful, the Samsung SCH-i730's high-speed data support and built-in Bluetooth and Wi-Fi make it an excellent choice for those who have to stay connected at all times, though the crippled Bluetooth support may spoil the party for laptop road warriors.

Good news ! Samsung Q1 Ulta Mobile PC (UMPC) was finaly approved by the FCC. It was first presented at CeBIT (Microsoft Ultra-Mobile PC unveiled at CeBIT 2006) and now it is approved and maybe soon it will be ready for sale.
