Motorola XOOM Heading To Sprint

Motorola XOOM Heading To Sprint

The Motorola XOOM is not doing quite well in market so far, the device is struggling to compete with the iPad 2 so it would be interesting to see if Sprint can help its prospects.

The XOOM will be hitting Sprint in two forms, a version with WiMAX 4G and the other with support for only Wi-Fi. Currently, no word has been forthcoming regarding the price for the Motorola XOOM on Sprint, but we expect the price to me very similar to that of the version on other networks in the U.S. right now.

Verizon Top Sprint In 4G Speed Test

Verizon Top Sprint In 4G Speed Test

Things are not going well for Sprint these days, AT&T buying up T-Mobile which will further push them back, and the heat emulating from Verizon and Apple iPhone partnership.

If that is not enough, now Sprint will have to contend with being the slowest 4G network in America, after 1000 speed tests were done on Verizon LTE network. All 1,000 tests were done in New York City, the devices used was the Verizon HTC Thunderbolt, and the Sprint HTC EVO 4G, both powerful handsets and the best on offer from both networks. If you look at the charts, you will realize how significantly faster Verizon 4G LTE network is, but one could argue that such is the case because not many subscribers are using Verizon 4G compared to Sprint.

Sprint Now Supports Google Voice On All Handsets

Sprint Now Supports Google Voice On All Handsets

Sprint has unofficially became the Google Carrier, with the support for Google Voice across all their handsets and not just the Nexus 4G, Sprint is the place a Google fanboy wants to be right now.

With Google Voice, Sprint subscribers will be able to use their existing phone number as their Google Voice number, and the best thing about this is, there is no porting of numbers required. With Google Voice, all your calls will come through on a single number, doesn't matter how many phones you have, pretty neat if you ask us.

HTC EVO View 3D First 3D Tablet

HTC EVO View 3D First 3D Tablet

So many cool phones and tablets came out CTIA, some better than some, and right now we are going to look at one of the lesser tablet from HTC.

This HTC tablet is coming out on Sprint soon enough, it is called the HTC EVO View 4G, and it sports a glorious 7-inch capacitive display which also supports a stylus. The main set back for the View 4G is the lack of Honeycomb, instead of putting the tablet version of Android on the sweetheart, HTC optioned for Android 2.3, Gingerbread instead. We figured this might be the case because HTC hasn't finished the Sense UI port for Honeycomb, so until then, HTC Honeycomb devices won't see the light of day.

Dual Screen Kyocera Echo Hands On (video)

Dual Screen Kyocera Echo Hands On (video)

The first time I used a Kyocera phone was years ago, it was a phone with black & white screen and at the time, it was the best phone I have ever used, sadly, they failed to impress me after than, things have changed recently.

The new Kyocera Echo for Sprint, is the world's first dual screen Android phone, both screens are 3.5-inches or gorgeous LCD that really catches the eye. What we like about this phone, is the applications that are optimized to make use of both displays, games and applications that are optimized really makes the device shine, but since it is new, we doubt users will find many contents that are optimized to take advantage of the feature. All in all, it is a good looking device which we believe is showing the future of mobile phones.

Sprint On The Verge To Acquire T-Mobile?

Sprint On The Verge To Acquire T-Mobile?

With T-Mobile USA on the decline due to losing over 300,000 subscribers last quarter, it is just inevitable for another company to buy them out, and right now, it appears that company is Sprint.

According to rumors which popped up first on Bloomberg, Sprint and Deutsche Telekom are already holding meeting on whether or not it would be a good idea to acquire T-mobile USA. We say Sprint should go for it, acquiring T-Mobile USA would boost their subscriber numbers to 84 million, still 10 million shy off Verizon and they would still be stuck in 3rd place, but having more numbers would definitely attract more subscribers in the long run.

Sprint To Get The HTC Arrive, The First CDMA Windows Phone Device

Sprint To Get The HTC Arrive, The First CDMA Windows Phone Device

Sprint is getting its first Windows Phone 7 device next month, the handset, which is called the HTC Arrive, is also the first CDMA phone with Windows Phone 7 inside, so it has a lot of weight on its shoulders to deliver the goods on Sprint's super duper network.

The HTC Arrive is not the best looking Windows Phone device, but like almost every other, the specs are similar and not exciting, you won't be getting that awesome feeling when you read the specifications of an Android device. Something you must consider, however, hardware is as good as the software it runs with, and Windows Phone 7 OS is damn good, it doesn't require immense power such as Android.
