Google just unveiled the latest version 5.0 of the Maps app for Android phones, but unfortunately for all it is available not for every phones. But we have good news for if you have one of those phones which are not supported by default. XDA-Developers member gregounech made available the APK file which is taken from Samsung Galaxy S and you can install it manually. 
Here comes a new update for Android Market which brings a new tab to apps which shows related ones. It is very easy to update it, all you have to do is go to Menu>Settings>Applications>Manage applications>Market (you might have to hit the "all" tab first) and then clear cache data on the Android Market app. Re-launch it, and you should have the "Related" or "Similar" tab. 
Photo Tools is app for Android phones developed by hcpl, which provides set of tools and information for photographers. You have DoF, Hyperfocal Distance, Exposure calculators along with Histogram viewer and Sharpening Radius Estimator. 
CallAssist is just released program which helps you tweek your BlackBerry with some nice call features. For example you can now make you phone vibrate when connected, popup on new SMS or customize the blinking of the LED on incoming calls and messages. Along with that it will ask you to add numbers not in your address book after you get off the phone with the option to add to an existing contact.
Here is a hack for the the first 3G device built by HTC back in 2005. The Universal, one of the best HTC devices ever built, is getting an update for Touch Input. XDA Chef sun_dream adapted this app for VGA Universal in English and Chinese.

It is made by xda-developers' member mattshaver and is explained for Windows 7, but it doesn't mean it can't be performed on XP, Vista, Mac, and Linux (or any other OS for that matter).
