The native YouTube application for Symbian S60 phones has been upgraded to version 2.2.1. What that means basically is that you get support for 11 countries in this new version. The app will work in Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, New Zealand, Spain, UK and the USA.

If you are a huge YouTube fan and can't go a minute without it, not even when you're browsing the internet on your cell phone, then you should know CoreCodec has developed version 1.24 of their CorePlayer Mobile for Symbinan S60 3rd Edition and UIQ 3 mobiles. FLV videos will be played directly on UIQ 3 smart phones without prior conversion. YouTube support is said to work both on 3G and WiFi connection, and the only downside for now seems to be the lack of support for playing YouTube videos through the internet browser.
