VITO Technology releases a new version of one of its best-sellers SMS-Chat. SMS-Chat is a Windows Mobile SMS messenger that organizes your SMS correspondence into threaded SMS conversations. There has appeared the ability to create templates that you can use for quick answers, the ability to switch off popping up alerts. If you've received some telephone number in SMS you can click it to place a call or if there is a hyperlink click it to open it in a browser. You will be pleasantly surprised by the ability to change skins in new SMS-Chat.

The new version of SMS-Chat presents a lot of improvements that make big sense for SMS chatting. The most distinctive option is the ability to switch off the onscreen alerts. This way you can hide the onscreen SMS notification and nobody will peek on your incoming message. Other new options include the ability to create and use your own templates for quick answers so that you can send answers immediately, the ability to open hyperlinks and dial phone numbers right from the message with a single tap, the ability to send your contacts' phone numbers. Now SMS-Chat uses the default folders for saving text messages, therefore most bugs have been fixed, like the problems with full screen notifications.

A new public beta version of SoftMaker Office 2008 for Pocket PCs is now available as a free download. This new beta comes with several fixes and improvements, such as:

* The setup program now optionally installs design templates and graphical bullets to a storage card, thereby freeing internal memory.
* Umlauts and accented characters can now be entered on the Palm Treo's built-in keyboard.
* Opening the Zoom dialog doesn't make the software unstable anymore.
* If you move Jetcet Print to a different folder, SoftMaker Office will still find it.
* Slideshows in Presentations now always fit on the screen.
* SoftMaker Presentations now allows you to insert sound files.

Dec 20 HTC Releases Bluetooth Hot Fix for HTC Touch

HTC has just released new patch for the HTC Touch. It is supposed to fix the dropping calls problem which sometimes occurs when bluetooth is on.

Dropped calls sometimes occur when Bluetooth is on. If you encountered the same problem, please download this Bluetooth Hot Fix and install it on your device.

Microsoft have officially released an upgrade to make O2k7 files compatible with Office Mobile 6. Office Mobile 6.1 is an upgrade to Office Mobile applications on Windows Mobile. The new upgrade supports the new Office 2007 file formats.

If you own HTC P3300 you will be happy with the following news. HTC has just released official Windows Mobile 6 upgrade. The P3300, which has good GPS functions and a trick navigation control that HTC call the HTC RollR, was expecting this update from some time and now it is reality.

To get your Pocket PC updated you'll need to have a HTC P3300 from HTC themselves, have account on HTC e-Club and just login and download the new ROM. Thats all folks so enjoy upgrading.

MobiBlogr, the free blogging software for Windows Mobile device released back in April, has just been updated to version 1.2.1. MobiBlogr is mobile blogging tool that let you type blog posts on your Windows Mobile which appear instantly on your specially customized MobiBlogr page (see mine for example).

In the new version of MobiBlogr there are extra functions such as picture uploading direct from your device and better blog post editing. Your blog is also reachable by browsing to http://mobiblogr.com/blog/{username} or your instant online album by going to http://mobiblogr.com/blog/{username}/album.
