ViewSonic V901 Windows Mobile 6.5 Phone

We haven't seen that many Windows Mobile 6.5 phones lately but we're definitely expecting for more to arrive in the near future. The V901 from ViewSonic is a new smartphone that's supposed to go to China in the near future.
The V901 comes with a Marvell PXA310 processor, 128MB of RAM, 256MB of ROM, a 3.6-inch touchscreen display capable of 480 x 800 resolution, a 5-megapixel camera, Bluetooth, microSD, GPS and EVDO Rev. A support. The phone will be available at some point by the end of the year but we don't have any specific dates or pricing details.

Peter Chou shows HTC HD2 advantages over iPhone
At the recent HD2 launch event HTC's CEO Peter Chou indicated a good point of view when comparing HD2 and iPhone. It is the screen resolution. The iPhone sports a relatively low screen resolution of 480 pixels down and 320 across, but the latest Windows Mobile device, like the HD2, has 800 pixels down and 480 across. In short this means that more data can fit on the screen at a time, translating to less scrolling in email, a higher resolution view of photos, better web experience, etc.read more »

HTC HD2 ships in Europe and Asia, US to follow in early 2010
Today, HTC Corporation chief executive officer, Peter Chou, joined Microsoft Corp. chief executive officer, Steve Ballmer and Harvey Chang, chief executive officer of Taiwan Mobile to announce the availability of the highly anticipated HD2 in Europe and Taiwan. HTC and Microsoft also announced that the HD2 would be available in the United States with a major US carrier in early 2010.read more »
