Feb 16 WMC 2009: Toshiba TG01 1GHz iPhone Killer Photo

Toshiba's aim to wow the crowd with a Windows Mobile phone like no other for sure maked interest at MWC 2009. Toshiba TG01 is the first handset with Qualcomm 1GHz Snapdragon processor and is powered with Microsoft's WM 6.1. It can be viewed at the Microsoft's place but can't be played with so I just took a photo of it. As you can see from the photo it has 256MB RAM, 3G, GPS and G-sensor.

Feb 16 LG's GM730 is the world's first Windows 6.5-powered smartphone

LG Electronics today announced the LG-GM730, the first smartphone to be powered by Windows Mobile 6.5. Both were launched in Barcelona at the Mobile World Congress 2009.

A special contract with Microsoft, which made Windows Mobile as LG's preferred OS for its smartphone line, enabled LG to have the privilege of rolling out the first Windows Mobile 6.5 handset ever.
