We here at MobileTopSoft are falling head over heels with Windows Phone 7 after what Microsoft showed at MIX 11, so we welcome any new handset to the market with open arms.

The newest phone in the Windows Phone 7 line is said to be the HTC Mazaa, awkward name for a phone but who cares, it looks rather well and it seems to be sporting a 3.5 or 4 inch display, nothing compared to the HTC HD7S for AT&T. As of now, we have no idea which carrier will pick this up, or when it will launch, but rumors say it could hit Verizon within the next 6 months.

Windows Phone 7 is a platform that is looking to dominate the mobile phone industry in the not too distant future, Google and Apple must take Microsoft seriously.

Few days ago, MIX 2011 was the biggest thing going on, Microsoft was in death mode when they demoed Windows Phone 7 Mango update to developers, it was nearly perfect. Fans of the platform who hope for it to compete finally head to head with Android and iOS can rest easily now, the Mango update will cure all. For the very first time since launch, Windows Phone 7 is looking like an operating system that is in it for the long haul, we hope to see what is next after Mango, which is slated for early Fall, 2011.

Some good news here for those Nokia fanboys who are patiently waiting for the first set of Windows Phone 7 devices from the Finnish giant.

According to Eldar Murtazin, a man who is known for solid news regarding the world of Nokia, the Finnish giant first two Windows Phone 7 handsets are codenamed W7 and W8 respectively, and are expected to hit shelves either late 2011, or early 2012. The Nokia W7 will have the hardware designs similar to the X7, while the W8 will look a lot like the Nokia N8, no other information about these handsets were forthcoming, however.

We wondered when this would come to fruition, and here it is folks, Angry Birds on Windows Phone 7.

It won't be available now, but Microsoft Vice President, Joe Belfiore, made it clear in his speech at MIX 11 that Angry Birds will be coming to Windows Phone 7 device on May 25th, 2011. The only sad thing about this new is, Angry Birds is coming before the Mango update this Fall, that means, you won't be able to have Angry Birds running while doing a search via the browser on how to best beat a particular level.

Big news in the Windows Phone 7 camp, the minimum required hardware specs got bumped up a little, no dual core processor, but still good enough.

All Windows Phone 7 handsets on the market right now, are all running on Qualcomm's MSM8x50 Snapdragon chips, but that will soon change as Microsoft bumped up the requirements to Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM7X30 and MSM8x55 chips. Not only that, but now all phones are required to have a Gyro so expect some interesting times ahead for Windows Phone 7 as the Mango update is being cooked up.

Bad news for those Windows Phone 7 owners who went ahead and used the ChevronWP7 updater to update their phones to NoDo.

Microsoft asked the developer of the tool to pull the ChevronWP7 Updater because there is a chance it could render phones useless or immune to future updates. The only way to get your Windows Phone back to its normal state, is to flash the device with a stock ROM, that means, sending the phone to Microsoft or your carrier. However, fret not, because Chris Walsh, the developer of Chevron WP7 Updater, is looking into how he can reverse the process and get your handset back on the light side of the force.
