This phone changed my life. I love it. I've been using it for about a month now and the only problem is the battery only really lasts a day because I spend all day checking stuff on it and when I am on the phone I cant see my diary, but look these are minor features. I've got Tomtom6 on it and a 2Ghz micro card on it with a tonne of music. Its a phone, a GPS, does my email and diary, plus if I want to write an invoice while I'm on the train i can do it. Did I say I love it

WOW. Ignore all of the reviews out there slating this little beauty. It sings, dances, plays footy, and makes you a cup of tea. Seriously, the phone is pure magic, it has full internet access features, great email, word processing, excel, movies, mp3s, radio, calendar, task manager, decent camera etc. 2 drawbacks (the only ones in my opinion). First is the difficulty when wanting to connect to a wifi home network which has not been set up using your xda unit (this may just be me) and secondly the poor speed when wanting to play videos back from your 2gig mico sd card. Please contact me if anyone has a speed up solution, or if you are wanting to know a little more before commiting to buy one. This outstrips the Nokia 9300i by miles. Please remember this unit is a phone and pda, it is not a laptop or a desktop, so dont expect it to perform like one. You are getting all of this in your pocket for gods sake!!

Yeah got one of these just a few days ago, what can I say... its gotta be the best piece of kit out there, beats the whole Nokia N and E series hands down. Best of all there tons and tons of software and freeware out there for this XDA. If your planning on getting one can I just say... I parted with a really good Blackberry for this, thats how good the Xda Orbit is. Brilliant little phone/PPC.

This phone is the best I have ever owned. The only thing I find slightly worrying is that when charging from the mains, the Camera area on the back can get really hot, and I mean REALLY hot. Has anyone else experienced this?

I've had this phone for like 2 months now and I still marvel at it's abilities. Not to repeat what everyone else has said here...but this is it, this is Mount Everest...anything else in the near future is a step down.

I bought one of these recently to take the place, an from an ailing Mio168 and A Sony EriccsonZ600 phone.( I was thinking of an Eten M700 but was put off by reports of reliability problems) To date it has worked very well. TomTom6 Europe is installed and the sat fixes are very quick. I bought a number accessories from GPSforless which included a charging cradle, case, Brodit car cradle. Have not had any problems with heat build up during charging.

I had an o2 XDA Mini S previously but found I wasn't using the slide out keyboard as much so decided to swap to the Orbit. I had already been using TomTom on my Mini S with a bluetooth GPS rec'r which was excellent, but the Orbit's GPS is very poor indeed. It takes a good 5 mins to lock on and is practically next to useless if walking in a built up area. It's a real shame as the concept of phone and GPS combined is brilliant. I'd say 3 out of 5 stars due to poor GPS. If this improved it would unquestionably be 5 stars.

I havent had the "hot camera area" problem as decsribed by NayNay and I'm sorry James my Obrbit locks on within 2 mins and is perfect (even in build up areas) Love the ability to chuck any softwre you like on and off, Try Tomb Raider by the way as the controls are on the screen (being a touch screen) Love this wee beastie and would only swap it for a newr version, perhaps a better camera would be nice. nuff said.

Brought this phone about two weeks ago, and love it to bits. Its much better than the Nokia N70 i've just traded in. I've always gone for nokias because they are easy to use. But this little beauty is a pleasure to use. One bit of trouble i had was that the o2 website leads you to belive that you can walk out of the store with copilot leading the way home. This is not true. Most stores dont actually stock it, they get it sent out to you within a week. The store manager told me I could take my contract to the store in oxford circus and they would give it to me. Of couse they didnt have it either, so after getting in touch with Customers service they sent out a new package free even though I should have paid 49.99 on my tariff. Try it out. Battery life is really quite good considering everything this little thing can do, but wi-fi does drain the battery (more so than GPS i find). I got a 2GB micro SD for about 15 and similarly to other peoples problems it didnt register. But after putting it in the standard SD adapter and sticking it in my nikon slr and formatting it, it worked a treat in the phone (would have used the laptop only the card readers broke) so if you are having this problem with the 2 or 4GB cards try something similar before storming back to the store. Camera is a bit of a let down, but in the end i bought it for everything else that it does not the camera capabilities (i didnt use the camera on my nokia to be honest) I prefer my slr for taking pictures anyway.

Had this handset for 1 week now. I opted to upgrade from my trusty Nokia 6310i & HP iPaq H5550 as I was tired of carrying two devices everywhere. Initial impression - really well designed, compact, sleek and easy to use. The new functions of Wm6 are great and all my old s/w works fine with the new device. Battery life is better than my partners XDA Mini S. I used it all weekend including GPRS & GPS and the battery dropped to only 55%. Having the GPS built in is great (one less device to carry about) and works seamlessly with coPilot, Tom tom, memory map etc. Process isn't quite as quick as my iPaq but WM6 is more stable. The trackball is great for one handed use. Over all a superb bit of kit and I don't think I will go back to my 6310i, which is quite a major thing as no other phone come anywhere near the functions of the 6310i
