Aug 30 View your Contacts addresses map on your Palm with KwikMaps

KwikMaps is just released application for Palm OS, developed by Floriano Scioscia, which allows you to select an address from within Contacts application and loads Google Maps page in your web browser, showing the location of the selected address.

KwikMaps cooperates with Contacts application (formerly called Address Book), which is present on most Palm OS devices. In the contact details view, open Contact menu, then tap Connect. You will see a list of available services for Quick Connect. Tap on the contact's address and KwikMaps will open the web browser and load Google Maps, showing the map for the selected address.

Aug 30 Configure your menu launcher and the settings applet with WM5NewMenu

WM5NewMenu is one new small app for Windows Mobile 5 Pocket PC devices, originally created to substitute "New menu" that was presented on the previous versions of Windows Mobile (PocketPC 2002, 2003). It consists of two parts: the menu launcher and the settings applet.

Basically, it is configurable application launcher, with several preconfigured actions to create new items, such as SMS, MMS, Word document, Note, etc. These preconfigured actions were chosen to do same things as did the actions from original "New menu". Additionally, WM5NewMenu supports original "New menu" items. Some are by default in system, as they were before, but in Windows Mobile 5 they are not used. Default actions which come with WM5NewMenu do the same thing. But 3rd party application can add own "New menu" extension and therefore can be useful to have possibility to use such extension.

WM5NewMenu features:

* Lauching by selectable today soft key.
* Launching by any hardware button.
* Simple configuration.
* Support for original "New" items.
* Cascading menus, up to 6 levels.
* Up to 32 items in one level.

Tank Commander is just released Free game for Palm OS based devices made by Gary Lorensen. In this game You're in command of a tank in hostile territory and Your mission is to capture the flag protected behind fortress walls.

You need to take out enemy tanks, shoot down A10s & helicopters, avoid incoming homing missiles, and run down foot soldiers.

The fortress itself is protected by gun turrets. Scattered throughout are radar stations that can alert the enemy to your whereabouts and bring them running.

Fortunately there are munitions and repair tools stored in some fortresses and scattered around in open country.

Pick them up to replenish your supplies and keep your tank running.
