Pocket Chess Internet 1.0 lets you play chess and communicate through the Internet using your Pocket PC. Unlike similar programs you do not need to pay annual fees to play chess. This game has quite nice interface and features following modes:

* Watching games being played. You can view the list of all games being played by mentioning opponents' names and rating and time control. Any of the games being played is available for watching with automatical display of the moves.

Sep 10 Pocket Flip puzzle game released for Pocket PC devices

Heliocon, LLC has just released their latest application for Windows Mobile Pocket PC devices, which is actually a game and is called Pocket Flip.

Pocket Flip is as they say an exciting Pocket PC puzzle game where you try to toggle all of the squares to the same color. It is harder than it sounds, but easy enough for begginers to play.

Unfortunately Pocket Flip does not have a trial version but it costs only $3.95 ( you can order it here ) and i think it worths a look.

By the way Heliocon, LLC has released 3 other Pocket PC application this week, Binary Clock, Pocket PasswordGen and TipCalc.

PocketGoogle is a small application for PDA devices with Windows Mobile OS. It’s replacing functionality of Google.com available for PDA in stripped visual form here www.google.com/pda and allows you search the Web from standalone application. You can go to the selected URL, in this case original page content is converted to PDA version.

Pocket Google uses Google API and to properly working you should obtain free Google Search API Key from http://www.google.com/apis site.It requires to run Windows Mobile 2003 SE or Windows Mobile 5.0 and Microsoft .NET Compact Framework 2.0.

Do you remember of GREAT PC game called Heroes Of Might and Magic? Probably you have played or heard of it, but if you have not do not worry, now a russian pocket pc developer has began to cloning it to Pocket PC devices.

Heroes Of Might and Magic is turn based strategy that in my humble opinion will be really amazing to play on pocketpc devices.

You can download the alpha version of this game from here.
To install Pocket Heroes, you'll need to:

• Unzip "PocketHeroes_002a.zip" archive
• Copy all extracted files to any folder in your PocketPC device, for example \Storage Card\PocketHeroes\
• Run "hmm_ppc.exe" file

Robert Tarasov, who is russian and develops for Windows Mobile, has just made available the latest commercial version of his game Pocket Heroes. Back in March we have introduced you the very first alpha version of Pocket Heroes, which was in russian language, but now the commercial version is in English.

Pocket Heroes is a fantasy turn-based strategy (TBS) with elements of a role-playing game (RPG). The game is quite complex and can be divided in two parts: the development part and the fighting part. The first one involves raising a castle n order to recruit creatures. For doing this you need resources and gold that you gather from terrain or mines. In order to advance in the game and reveal the territory, you'll have to fight against monsters and other players. You can do this by giving armies to your heroes and going into enemies' land. A skilled tactician will have to know the timing for development and fighting, as this is crucial for winning. Heroes are very important in the game. As they gain experience, they advance in skills and stats. They can cast spells during battles and carry artifacts. Managing heroes and everything involving them represent the RPG part of the game. Most of the times having a good hero means winning the game.

Pocket Heroes Features:

* 6 races, each with its own particularities, advantages and disadvantages: Knights, Barbarians, Wizards, Warlocks, Sorceress and Necromancers.
* 36 heroes (6 for each faction) with 4 different attributes (attack, defense, spell power and knowledge) and a total of 22 secondary skills to chose from.
* 7 types of resources (wood, ore, crystals, sulfur, gems, mercury, and gold).
* 36 creatures (and 9 neutral), each one with its special skills and abilities.
* 4 schools of magic (earth, air, water, and fire) that include over 40 spells.
* 73 unique Artifacts.
* more than 60 external dwellings (I calculate around 68 for now).
* 35 maps and 5 difficulty levels to measure your playing skills.
