Awady Pocket Run is application developed by Awady Software, which does the same function of that Run dialogue found in PC version of windows.

Awady Pocket Run Features:

* With Pocket Run you can open a document, file or program just by typing its path or browsing for it.
* You also can write only the name of the file you want without writing its path if it exists in the Windows folder.

Awady Pocket Run runs on all Windows Mobile 2003, Windows Mobile 2003 SE and Windows Mobile 5.0 Pocket PCs. So if you miss the Run dialogue found in Windows for PC you will feel comfortable with this Pocket PC application.

Dec 12 rw4500 Smartphone by HP is on the way

Since HP is little more than a brand that is placed on HTC manufactured devices, one cannot say that HP is actually "working" on Microsoft Smartphone device, but it could be that it will start offering one soon.Please keep in mind: despite having some blurry photo (see below) this still is a rumor and Compaq (that merged with HP in past) and HP have history of having prototypes that leak to public but never become commercially available...

Its running WM5 with a 320x240 screen, Bluetooth 1.2, 1.3 MP camera and Wifi...

There are rumors that it will be Asia only release but they are not confirmed

In other words: HP releasing MS Smartphone would have more marketing and popularization effect rather than bringing something innovative and something that could really compete with Symbian (that offers already now several UMTS phones, while there is only one UMTS phone powered by Windows Mobile). All in all: we are yet in rumor phase and one photo doesn't prove anything yet, but it looks like HP is committed to Windows Mobile so in the end we may see also MS Smartphone from HP...

Jan 10 S.C. Out logical puzzle game for Pocket PC released

TTrGames has just released a logical puzzle game for Windows Mobile devices called S.C. Out, a remake of S.C. Out game was written by KALISTO, a French software company which does not exist anymore, for Pocket PCs.

The goal of the game is to destroy the alien head on each level with a portable bomb using your advanced spaceship, while going through deadly mazes, solving sweating puzzles and avioding enemy creatures.

Here are some ingame screenshots

It has been toroughly tested by its developers on a Fujitsu Siemens Pocket LOOX 420 and by me on HTC TyTN, but it should run on any WM PPCs with at least a PXA255 200Mhz processor or equivalent.

Note that this the PPC version is only the engine of the game rewritten from scratch, and can not be played by itself. It contains 3 test levels made in the original games editor so it can be tested. In order to play the original 101 levels of the game, You must have (or get) the original game and copy the LEVEL.DAT file from the original to the directory you installed the game on the PPC. The game can play any levels created with the original level editor. These APP_XXX.CIA file shoul be copied to the game directory as well.
