What a snail is you ask? I think a snail is a tiny worm. If a worm is meant to fit your PC then this Snails are meant to enter your pocket PC and/or smart phone. You don’t know what a Worm is? It’s the blast-your-friends-with-cool-guns PC game. I am not referring to any kind of backdoor Trojan of some sort.

I guess if you are a fan of the Worms strategy series you should play Snails Reloaded too. It’s a new game with 3 game modes and 3 races to choose from (they are all snails right??), over 15 individual levels and about 25 destructible weapons to choose from. And there are lots of video and audio improvements or so they brag. I’d give it a shot as I was pretty good at Worms. So if you have time to kill, you can have Snails Reloaded for your pocket PC for just $14.95 with a version for smart phones on their way.

Because an error in the iPAQ H5400 Registry, WiNc will not detect a network card as long as you don't fix this value by yourself:

The original value which can be found under "HKLMCommvntminiLinkageRoute" contains for any reason this garbage:

You need to change the "Route" value to "vnetmini1":

Please note that even with the latest iPAQ H5400 W-LAN Driver Update, this bug isn't fixed; so you need to do it by hand under any circumstances. After you changed the Registry, don't forget to soft reset your device.

From now you can use your H5400 as a perfect WiFi sniffing gadget but please don't abuse it.

Dec 19 Snooze alarm with multiple recurring alarms released for Smartphone

Snooze is an alarm program for Windows Mobile Smartphones that has multiple recurring alarms that play either .wav or .mp3 files. It can also change the phone profile or run an application of your choosing.

Snooze is designed for QVGA WM5 smartphones, it should work on any QVGA WM5 device although there is no touch screen support. It may work on WM2003, but its not tested yet.

Note that Mp3 or wav files must be in the application directory, or \My Documents\ or \My Documents\My Music\. If you have Snooze installed to a storage card, they can also be in either of those two folders on the storage card.

Snooze is available free for download at Smartphone Freeware site.
