Batti is a small application, it takes very few space of your PDA memory with approximately 20 KB for the battery indicator and 90 KB for the whole application, which is mentioned to show you remaining power of your battery. Batti is highly configurable to suits your needs. You can set up the update interval of a indicator, its height, with customizable colors and more functions.

This is where Batti is usually located at the bar on the top of the task bar. Below you can see some screenshots from configuration options.



Batti for Windows Mobile is Hi-DPI aware for latest VGA devices and offers you options like setting colors for foreground and background, colors for low and critical battery level. You can also set the color for indicating your battery is on AC power source or that your battery is being charged.

It can show you detailed information about your battery such as temperature, voltage, chemistry and some information about your backup battery as well. Batti can also indicate if your battery is being charged. If you don't want this indication, you can easily turn it off. Good thing is that you can set up the value of low and critical level of your battery. Those two levels could be indicated with different colors (also configurable).

Batti's Developers said that they are currently working on implementing features like Prediction of remaining time, Always on top option, and option for turning the PDA off when reaching a user-defined level of the battery.

AutoResponder Beta for WM5 Smartphone is a small application which allows you to send automatically an auto message by sms as soon as you miss a call. This feature may be very useful when you are for example at a meeting, school or simply cannot answer. You must be aware that AutoResponder is currently beta version, which means it may not work on your smarphone.

* Send away messages by sms to your callers when you miss a call
* Unlimited number of custom auto messages
* Add special tags in your messages such as : my home number, my office number, caller name etc.. which will be filled automatically by the program when sending the auto messages

* Ignore list : the numbers in your ignore list won't receive any auto messages

Bt Chess is one very nice freeware application for both Smartphone and Pocket PC Windows Mobile platforms that enables chess playing over Bluetooth. As we know it is tested and works on Voyager, XPhone2, C500, C550, Tornado, SP5, XDAIIs and in landscape mode on PPCs.

The program automatically determines if your device is using MS Bluetooth Stack. If it doesn't, it will prompt you at start-up. This doesn't have an AI. The main purpose anyways is for you to play with another WM device user. By the way, for those who want to try this and doesn't have anyone (WM device user) to play with, you could try playing between your WM device and your desktop/laptop. Your Bluetooth device on your desktop/laptop should have MS Bluetooth Stack said the developers.

But if it doesn't, just follow the procedure below:

* Disconnect your Bluetooth device from your desktop/laptop.
* Uninstall the software that came with your BT device by going to Control Panel>Add/Remove Programs>And choose your * Installed BT Software. Or alternatively, Go to Control Panel>Bluetooth Devices>Click Hardware Tab>Click Properties>Click Driver>Click Uninstall button.
* Re-connect your BT device on your desktop/laptop. WindowsXP should recognize the device and you should let Windows install
* the Bluetooth stack by itself (don't install the software that came with your BT device.)
* Download the zip file again.
* Unzip on your desktop/laptop.
* Run BTChess.exe and see if the program recognizes your BT Device. Your desktop/laptop should have the .Net Framework installed. You can download the latest version of .NET Framework 2.0 Redistributable in case you need it. * If it does, then your BT device has MS BT stack installed.
* Try playing. :-)

Now when Ultra Mobile PC devices like Samsung Q1 UMPC and Medion MDPEA 1000 UMPC are hitting the market there will be a new need - Applications Optimised to work perfectly on UMPC devices. Today my attention was taken by an article from Microsoft called Microsoft Sudoku: Optimizing UMPC Applications for Touch and Ink. In this article Stephen Toub discusses Sudoku and demonstrates how to build an application to solve puzzles, generate puzzles, and enable enhanced game play for ultra-mobile PC and Tablet PC.

A year ago in a small cafe in the West Village in New York City, I was introduced to a pen-and-pencil puzzle game with which my friend Luke was entirely captivated. Lively conversation with our significant others saved me from falling into the same trap, but it was only a short reprieve. A few months later in July of 2005, I again found myself confronted by Sudoku while visiting my brother and my former college roommate in London. This time, it was everywhere. And there was no escape. I was enthralled, addicted, and borderline obsessed. As is the case for many developers, today's passions frequently become tomorrow's development projects, and so it took little more than the flight back to the United States for me to have the first version of my C# Sudoku implementation up and running. sais Stephen Toub.

But I wasn't satisfied. Something was missing. There was something thrilling about setting the logically discovered numbers crisply onto the paper with my pen or pencil, a property that was lost in the game's translation into Windows Forms. And that's when it hit me. Sudoku is the quintessential application for a Tablet PC. After downloading the Tablet PC SDK to my computer the next day, I soon transformed this keyboard-and-mouse powered game into one that is completely pen-driven.

Lenovo i921 PDA Phone will certainly run latest OS from Microsoft, Windows Mobile 5.0.
Lenovo i921 will have good 2.2 inch,260k colors, 320x240 pixel QVGA screen. It will also feature very impressive and powerfull YAMAHA sound system.

It measures 104Χ51Χ21.7mm and weighs 123g. Lenovo i921 has 128MB built-in memory and miniSD slot for expansion cards. Bluetooth is also packed but the WiFi is somehow missing, and that is not good at all.

In China Lenovo i921 PDA Phone costs about 347 USD, which in my humble opinion is quite good price for this smartphone.
