Do we need to install the previous versions first?
FreewarePocketPC.net wrote...
@ Toti: you don't need to install any previous version, just run this one and make sure you have .NET Compact Framework 3.5 installed on your device !
Francois wrote...
Did not work on my TYTN 2. .NET Compact Framework 3.5 is 6.5mB big???? To install on device is going to slow down device. What now???
mark wrote...
This is a great application that assists mid-range users to gain insight and access to system options and issues pviously not immediately apparent and as such supports learning using this advanced program that explains technical matters coupled with on-board operability in an empowering way.

Tried to load this onto my Diamond. Compact Framework 3.5 already installed. Get message "unable to locate settings file". Can anyone help?
harveystyles wrote...
.net compact framework installs on your pc first, then while syncing your pda, installs on it. the actual file that is installed is much smaller, and you cab download the file for microsoft.com
johnr wrote...
Thanks harveystyles. The .net cf has loaded successfully. It's the Advanced Config that can't locate the settings file

How do I install .NET Compact Framework on my wing with wm6 pro? Is is a fairly straightforward download and install? What are the memory implications?

I finally was able to download the files but now if have the same issue as others... "unable to locate settings file". I have an AT&T Tilt running Win 6.1. It looks like there are a few of us with the same issue. I loaded on my storage card first and thought that might be the problem... it wasn't. ------------------- johnr wrote on his mobile ... To install this Program Extract the zip file onto your desktop. then copy the entire folder onto you devise/storage Card via activesync explorer. click on the app and it should work. worked on my AT&T Tilt WM6.

Installation worked fine, but for some odd reason, when I try to clean, it locks up my entire phone. Had the previous version on my Sprint HTC Touch, and never had a problem with it. Guess I'll have to backtrack to that one :(
HarveyStyles wrote...
When I dl'ed .net compact framework 3.5, it was first installed on my pc (the original dl is 6 megs) then , through active sync, i installed on my Touch. And I got it from Windows.com

this program disabled the ability of my HTC Touch to answer an incoming call when I press the talk key or the on-screen "answer" soft key. It was so bad that uninstalling the program wasn't enough. I had to hard-reset the phone just to get back the functionality. And I never got to get working what I wanted to. I wanted to get the weather to show my local weather without having to edit the xml file. Even after entering the location code for my location, it didn't work. Nice tool, though. Just a few bugs that will lead me to wait for an update.

Copy the zipped file to storage card. Extract all files into Program Files directory on storage card and soft reset. Will then run from File Explorer and with shortcut from Programs on device if you copy/paste one there.

I'm so aggravated - really like the HTC Touch Pro (Verizon) and all I really need right now is to be able to increase font size for contacts & calendar. Sounds like these options only exist if I download Advanced Configuration...if only I could. Have spent DAYS trying...no help via email pleas! Can't even seem to get .NET Framework to install properly. This just is too much effort unless you know this stuff!!! I think I'm going to HAVE to go get the Blackberry Storm - has font settings built right into its o/s! What's wrong with Windows Mobile - it should also!!!!

HTC HD2: This app can be very quirky. Stuborn as I am, after I had to hard reset my Tmobile HD2, I restored my back-up and proceeded to fiddle with it again, this time with satisfactory results, though less 'tweak'. Of course I couldn't leave well enough alone, and several days later my fiddling lead to another HR. Also noticed a few unexpected results. USE WITH CAUTION!
