v1.1
Microfi Nitrogen is a native Windows Mobile application (unmanaged code) that allows you to play MP3 songs stored on your Pocket PC device. It features a file browser, full skin support, "Shuffle" and "Repeat" modes, a built-in sleep mode and a command to blank screen to prevent energy waste while playing music. Nitrogen uses the MAD decoder, which is opensource. As the official releases of MAD for Pocket PC seem to be discontinued, Nitrogen uses the libraries from an opensource player (GSPlayer).
Nitrogen was build due to the lack of finger-friendly players for Pocket PC (you have to use stylus even for simple tasks). It features large buttons and you can browse among your playlist by drawing circles on the screen (tapping in the appropriate space). In future releases the program will be expected to have an equalizer and other extensions support, but such things are still being tested to ensure stability and efficiency.
Nitrogen Key features
- Full MP3/OGG/AAC/MP4/M4A/3GP/WAV/WMA playback.
- Customizable interface with skin support.
- 10-band equalizer with 8 presets.
- Large and easy-to-use buttons.
- Media browser with playlist editor.
- Large menus to perform tasks with the fingers.
- Kinetic scrolling.
- Smart shuffle and repeat modes.
- Adjustable sleep timer.
- Amazingly fast to load and to play.
- Blank screen command to save energy.
- Native C++ code: no need for .NET framework.
- Extremely lightweight.
- File association support.
- Album art support.
- Opensource.
- Multilanguage support.

its okay, i very much dislike trying to go to a new song... have to hit the \"Next\" button then play again... either i\'m dumb or that was a fault in the program. also dont like how you can not make a large play list or import your whole library... just certain albums or songs.

try S2P player..its way better than this one..u can also download that from this site..

I love this player. I like the fact that when you click to go to the next song, it doesn't auto play the song. It lets you get to the song you want to here next and then play.

wow great app. works really good in my mogul thanks guys for the well done job

sorry but its S2P for me. the artwork/library view means i don\'t have to fork out on an ipod touch! Maybe something to think about for future release?

wow, great soft, thanks! i just think there should be more skins for this thing, maybe it\'s because it\'s really new stuff...

what the bullshit,mf stuff.why cannot download?
Dipanjan wrote...
This software is unimpressive.Playback interrupts greatly while trying to do anything minimizing the player. It doesn\'t even support any special file format and doesn\'t have any equalizer too.Only thing is the eye-candy interface and finger scrolling.I would recommend GSPlayer.

Outstanding music player! much more user friendly than the last nitrogen player.. this bangs on pathetic s2p and its sorry attempt to mimic an itunes player. that shittie app would go to the top of my artist list every time exited from an artist folder or playlist, then i had to scroll through all the artists again to get to the artist folder listed below the one i just had open! what a pain! goodbye s2p! hello nitrogen!

Great player! The new version works great & sounds great on my Treo Pro - BUT, I don\'t like that the screen resolution can\'t be set 320x320 to match my phone. (The half screen player is a bit annoying to look at.) That\'s my only real complaint. *Please add 320x320 soon!* The EQ is wonderful, and I, too love that I can shut off the screen and still have my music running. Kudos to the developers!

Hi. I am now listening to my mp3s on my phone using your software! I love it. Exactly what I have been needing. You got mad skills to program it. Thank you so much. I love the fact that hitting the next button only shows us what is next, and doesn\'t automatically go to next song so you can scan your whole folder. I also like that you have the option to play files only in the folder. Very very well done!

i think this software is awesome. i had the previous version and the few issues i had were addressed with this version. the problem i have now is i can't play large files anymore. i sometimes listen to very large audio book files and the player crashes everytime i try to play one. the previous version played a 900MB file with no problem. small issue with an otherwise awesome app! thanks.

Awesome player, but it deactivates my phones own volume controll while playing. It should not override.. (touch HD blackstone)
inlife wrote...
If yours is not a touch screen phone then please don\'t download, this thing has no buttons for keypad mobiles, very very very difficult to use.TCPMP and GSplayer is much better.
MikeH wrote...
Brilliant job - Works perfectly and has nice well thought out features. Great for the job it\'s doing and makes a lot of other portable players look incomplete. Thanks - you made someone very happy today !
Myles wrote...
This player is much more streamlined for audio than the wmp or the native audio program for my HTC Diamond. Thanks. My only problem is that, when this program is running, my volume buttons don\'t work - they open the volume bar and I must touch the screen to adjust the volume (not a big deal). Also, after running, my touchflo 3d cannot access pictures for changing the touchflo background or contact photo.
